Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
1. Who we are
This policy describes how Lawrence Moellersen, whose legal name is Lauritz Moellersen, handles personal information for Modern Real Estate Investing, the Kajabi course website, requested learning resources, and related communications. It covers these course services wherever they are accessed, rather than unrelated websites sharing the moellersen.com domain.
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Business contact address: 302 Eastern Blvd, 1019, Canandaigua, NY 14424, United States.
2. Information handled
- Contact and account information, including name, email, account credentials, and communication preferences.
- Purchase and billing records, payment status, transaction references, and refund correspondence.
- Course activity, such as lesson access, progress, and comments you submit.
- Support messages and other information you choose to send.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device details, visited pages, video interactions, and security logs.
- Email subscription and confirmation records, delivery information, and open/click measurements where the email platform provides them.
Payment details are submitted through the payment provider's checkout. We receive purchase and billing information needed to administer your order; ordinary course support does not require you to send card numbers, identity documents, tenant records, or sensitive financial documents.
3. Why we use information
We use information to deliver requested resources, maintain accounts and paid course access, process purchases and refunds, answer support requests, communicate important account or course information, understand use of the service, maintain security, respect opt-outs, and keep required business records.
Where a law requires a lawful basis, the relevant basis may be performing the purchase contract or taking steps at your request; complying with legal obligations; consent for optional marketing or tracking where required; or legitimate interests in running, improving, and securing the service, balanced against your rights.
4. Resource signup and email choices
The furnishing-checklist signup requests your name and email and explains that you will receive the resource plus practical rental emails. Submitting that form subscribes you to the requested resource and its related rental follow-up emails; no separate email confirmation is required. A course purchase alone does not give blanket permission for unrelated marketing.
You can unsubscribe or change marketing preferences through the links in marketing emails, or email us. Essential purchase, account-security, course-access, and support communications may continue while needed to provide the service. We retain the minimum suppression information necessary to respect an opt-out.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Kajabi hosts the course, accounts, forms, video delivery, and course emails. Kajabi Payments processes course payments using Stripe's processing infrastructure. Email providers route and deliver support correspondence. Authorized staff or contractors may access the information needed to administer the course and answer requests.
Information needed for these services is shared with the relevant providers. Some providers also process information for their own legal, security, or payment obligations. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, investigate fraud, or secure the service. If ownership of the course business changes, affected information may be transferred with appropriate notice and protections.
Google reCAPTCHA protects our single-step signup forms from bots and abuse. It may process IP addresses, device and browser information, interactions, and cookies or similar technology for security checks. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6. Cookies, playback, and tracking
The course platform and payment or video components use cookies and similar technology for login, security, checkout, playback, and preferences. Platform usage measurements may help us understand how the course is used. Optional marketing or analytics technology, if enabled, is subject to any applicable consent requirements and available choices.
You can restrict cookies through your browser, but this may affect login, payments, or playback. Where the site presents a cookie preference control, use it to manage the available optional categories. To ask about a particular technology or make a privacy choice not available through the interface, contact [email protected]. We do not claim that browser signals or a notice alone block every provider's technology.
7. Retention and safeguards
We retain account and course-progress information while needed to provide your access and resolve account issues. Purchase, tax, and refund records are kept for applicable legal recordkeeping and dispute periods. Support correspondence is kept while a request and any related follow-up or dispute remain relevant. Marketing contact information is kept while you remain subscribed or another lawful reason applies; suppression records may remain after unsubscribing.
Technical records and backups follow the relevant platform's retention and recovery arrangements. Deletion requests are assessed against access needs, legal duties, security, and disputes; information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until the provider's normal deletion cycle. We use access controls and appropriate safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your requests and regional rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information; withdraw consent; object to or restrict processing; or opt out of particular uses. Email [email protected] to make a request. We may seek proportionate information to verify it and will respond within the period required by the law that applies. Legal exceptions may limit a request; we will explain a refusal and any available appeal route.
If EEA or UK data-protection law applies to you, you may complain to your local supervisory authority, and withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already lawfully performed. Where U.S. state privacy law grants additional rights, including an appeal or authorized-agent request, we will handle those rights as required. Contact us to exercise an applicable sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising opt-out; we do not treat a purchase as permission for those uses.
9. International processing
Our platform and other providers may process information in the United States or other countries with different privacy laws. Where transfer safeguards are legally required, the appropriate provider arrangements and safeguards must apply. Contact us for information relevant to your request; this policy does not claim universal compliance with every privacy regime.
10. Adults, external tools, and updates
The course is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has supplied information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
External links, including Google Sheets copy links and services mentioned in lessons, lead to services governed by their own privacy practices. We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. We will show the effective date and give additional notice or seek consent where required before a materially different use.
